Anyone up for a bi weekly challenge? Meaning the voting week of the challenge competition, another challenge will run.
The idea behind it is a simple one. Exercise the brain in writing music continuously. I know that people are busy with hectic lives and can't come here everyday... but if you really want to explore songwriting and challenge yourself, perhaps another one is called for.
Obviously the second one isn't a competition with prizes (other than the main goal of writing as a prize in itself)... But you could get fairy lights and finger snaps as a kudos...
Cos I read Pete likes em and it gives material to play... so this way you could have 4 pieces a month, lol.
Just an idea... anyone up for it?

I would be into it if we could kill the 60 seconds restriction. We bluesmen take a whole minute (12 bars) just to listen feel the beat listen to the birds and smell the roses before we know it's safe to let our Mojo loose otherwise people could get hurt particularly the children playing need for speed in the middle of its path. 8)

Rene the limit is there to save our bandwidth and make it easier to vote. Imagine listening to 20, 5 minute pieces it would take you over an hour.

I've been thinking of suggesting removing the track and time restriction on the normal challenge, but this would remove the need and the normal challenge could stay a level playing field. Kind of a pro challenge? You up for running it Evo?

@ Don - By the time we recieve 20 5min entries off a weekly challenge I am reasonably certain that either a) bandwith will be cheaper than water or b) I will have died of shock. ☹

Ummm.. yeah, I'll be up for running it, but only from next month... my data cap ran out... sigh... but i'll catch up here again next month... lemme know what you guys reckon... glad its cool ?

I guess entries won't matter much don... if you wanna do it... then its there... if you don't... then its ok... it doesn't mean the sun will stop shining. Even if I'm the only stupid dude doin it... something will be there at least
