MR Bungle now thats talent rightt there, I dont understand how ppl can say this or mr bungle has no talent. Certainly not when there are certain atyists repeating the same solo a billion times.
Mike Patton is a little cooler than this locust stuff i think, infact he is very talented, I would rather take inspitation from him than most guitaists,

Exactly - what I take from it mostly is that you've got to go a little (or a lot) insane sometimes because it builds your playing and frees you from the boxes. That said Mr Bungle actually has a lot of great great tunes. 'California' is a good easy intro to them...

That whole album is great.... I really got into it alot, Mike Patton with Faith no more was ok but Mr Bungle was always his main concern........ He even wears a mr bungle t shirt in the music video for "What is It" or whatever that FNM Song single was.

Awesome! I got to see him perform as part of Tomahawk in NY... was mind blowing.

MIKA-the-better-one

ah super jealous, I have never seen him....... He does alot of soundtracks for games and movies as well.......... I know the tomahawk Drummer plays for Battles I really like them.

I get experimental, I get avant garde, but not the first two bands posted...

I certainly wouldn't put them in the same class as Mr Bungle, all of whom are talented enough to play any music they like (and do - usually in the context of one song).

I can sort of grasp the locust, Butnot so much Wolf Eyes, however when you look at it both the locust and wolf eyes have sold more records than pretty much every SA band, they can sustain themselves as touring musicians etc, so there must be alot of people who like them
