Hey Dudes, I though I would show off a bit, recieved my custom built acoustic archtop from Gary Stroup in the US :P [b]It's a [/b] 17' Acoustic Archtop - Cut-a-way 25' 1/2 Scale 1 11/16 nut 12' radius finger board Floating pickup Gold cover Gold tuning Machine with black buttons Black Binding Ebony fingerboard, pickguard, bridge & truss rod cover "antique Violin" finish on the back and natural on the top Stunning sound could cut it with any flat top any day (un pluged) I know the headstock stiga is a little cheesy but I can live with that :P :P :P :P

Now that's impressive. Sitka spruce top and maple back and sides? Looks like it might be old stock or reclaimed wood too.

How do you like the tuners? They are the Gotoh SG510s aren't they? Are those ebony keys or black plastic? AFAIK Gotoh don't make those keys in ebony, but I know some builders make their own for them.

The logo is a little odd - a stick on, which is a bit strange after he's obviously put a lot of time and effort into the rest of the build.

Is a strange combination of "old" and new on the finishes, some what rustic in some areas......such as the stick on logo and some polishing here and there........ I think in due course I will refine a few thing to my likings. Gary is a strange country bumpkin from Eckley Ohio and focuses on sound and playability, which is outstanding.

I can't seem to put it down, without picking it up again to try something else. I dig it the most

The tuners are the SG510 with plastic buttons, smooth as butter, I will get some ebony ones made soon.

Mine is build No:171 with a personal note written on the inside in pencil ..which can be viewed through one of the F-holes....nice touch

All in R16k ( $2k) should have been a bit less but the exchange rate went south.

That's actually very good. Consider that you pay more than that for an American Deluxe Series Fender (not even custom shop) or alot more for a proper Gibson, that's a very good deal for what you're getting for the $.
