I'm quite amazed at this interview. It's insightful into him as a person and I can relate to a lot of things. The man speaks his mind, and his mind is so busy it's scary.
Nevertheless, an enjoyable read.

Actually came across this as a link from www.spike.com, it's like a online men's magazine.

But to argue the point further, my dad used to buy the Scope magazine (Go on, say you remember that and give away your age) and I would sit and read the motoring reviews in the back section. But that was only until I was about 14... ?

Gee I remember Scope. Of course I only read it for the crossword and the music reviews. Even when I was serving the country in South West Africa.

Far better reading was "Farmer's Weekly", and especially the "Sonskyn Hoekie" section: '"Ford Cortina V6" from Ermelo seeks a lady with blue eyes and blonde hair. Must be able to bake a good melktert.'

Just an update, John Mayer interrupted his set in Tennessee last night and broke out into a tearful apology resembling a LOTR diatribe. Video is on Youtube.

Apologized for thinking too much and being too callous in the interview.

I've listened to his playing a bit now. Unlike Bonamassa imo, he's got a great feel for blues and guitar playing in general.

Unfortunately, he's an embarrassing pr1@k. I wonder if he's bi-polar or something?

I don't base my personal happiness, moral compass or take guidance based on what celebrities do or think.

If he's being genuine you'll see the long-term fruit in his life. If he's not, then thanks for the music John - keep on playing - and keep your thoughts to yourself.

I thought it was mostly crass and that Meyer must either have been out of his gourd or was just pretty damn stupid - or is a crass person.

I just read as much of his interview as I could stand. He may not be bi-polar but reading that I reckon he has some kind of personality disorder. Watch this space for when he shoots someone/ winds up homeless/ kills himself/ similar. His life of confessional diarrhoea rather creeps me out. It sounds a little bi-polar.

But like I said, I take nothing away from his musical capabilities.
