Danie I picked up a very nice fender mim stat yesterday. The guitar seems in good condition, just some rust on the pickups and saddles. Is that a problem? Where is the best place in the Cape Town area to take my guitar for someone to just go through it an clean it up a bit? Thanks

chris77 Happy NGD Danie. Rust is a real bitch to get rid of. I live inland so it was never a factor for me, until I bought a Fender Showmaster from a guy in a coastal city, unseen. What a mess. I got rid of some of the rust with a product called Q12, but totally destroyed the trem bridge trying to loosen the bolts and springs. So take it to Marshalls like Don MoJo suggests and have it done properly. Its an offer you cant refuse...
