Tribute album trauma

Back in the dinosaur days when albums were on things called "tapes" (they're still on vinyl it they're any good) I was desparately devouring any Stones release I could find... I picked up an album called "Rolling Stones Beach Party" - should have known better but I was young and there was no indication on the cover that it was anything other than a Stones bootleg. Aaaaargh. 10 seonds in and I ripped the thing to shreds with my bare hands... not that hard if you remember those flimsy plastic housings. Which brings me up to date, was just given two Sabbath tribute albums of repute containing covers by bands I really like. Will report back... but I was wondering if there's any worthwhile covers/tribute albums out there? I like live covers, Faith No More does a great job of weaving cool hits into their live material and as we all know Elvis never sounded better than when he was wedged into Whole Lotta Love. But deliberate tribute studio recordings compiled??

Are you talking about the cover done by Cradle Of Filth?
That must be the best cover of Hallowed Be Thy Name!

Galloping bass lines, brilliant guitar interplay what's not to love? Except... the lyrics and delivery are more amusing (in a good way) nowadays, whereas they used to be nice and scary when I was a young 'un ?
