Is it possible to add an aftermarket pickguard to a guitar that never came with one?
This is a pic the guitar I'll be getting soon. Can one go the Mcguyver route and start drilling holes in
the body to fit a new pickguard, cause I've seen that the later Ibanez model (RG-440) has one and has the same
body and pickup config (H-S-S). Or maybe even a whole face cover?

Possible, but not advisable, unless you do a mini pickguard and leave the control area alone. Either way, it's a custom made job, because it's tricky to get all the holes and stuff lined up. Pots and switch will need to have long enough shafts to work through the top and the pickguard, or probably means replacing pots and doing a cutaway in the pickguard for the switch.
