Newbie introduction - Riaan C

Hi guys.

Thought I'd do the decent thing and introduce myself.

I'm Riaan Combrink, and I chose the username of 'Riaan C' as I noticed you have another active member with username 'Riaan'. I'm from Sunningdale near Tableview in the Western Cape.

I've been browsing the forum for some weeks now, having found it via Alan's MusicAds site. Registered last night, as its become one of my daily must-reads! IMO the forum is an absolutely great idea way overdue.

I've been playing guitar since 1988 (until 2004 only acoustic) and mostly rhythm. I own only five axes, of which two are stage workhorses. Been gigging in bands and as a one-man band on the covers circuits for some time, and since April 2007 as a duo called Synchronicity (with my wife, believe it or not!!). I've just started a website, which you guys are welcome to browse for a better idea.

Well spotted sir!! Me and Bobby McGee is my absolute favourite song, and the only one I can perform sort of OK. As a matter of fact, that song is the reason I started playing guitar ?

Nice to get a regular gigging muso in here who does the pub and restaurant circuit (please remind me occasionally of all the horrors, so can remember why I don't like doing that anymore ? ).
