The composers and publishers of "Down Under" will be compelled to hand over a percentage of the royalties - possibly as high as 60%. That's a lot of money.

I am curious to wether the new owners of the Kookabura song bought the rights and then only after a while picked up on the similarity, or if they first picked it up, realised the potential, and Then bought the rights - probably on the cheap. If its the latter its sneaky, but rather entrepeneurial in a way and good business sense.
