I believe that Mervyn has worked to bring the weight down. Mine is heavier than my Morgan, but it's not a big deal. The balance more than makes up for it you're playing sitting down.

I love the look of the thing though and if it can shield me from flak when I play like a doos then that is a fantastic bonus. Dude you should warn a person before saying something that funny. No people think I'm weird for laughing at my computer.

It was suppose to be finished in December hahahaha Mervyn says it should be done by the time I get back from the UK... But have a look for a Poplar Jaywalker in there.. Take a sneaky photo for me... I cant wait to get my hands on that guitar.

Eek! Does he always take that long? What is your exact name? So far I only inferred Brent then I'll ask him tomorrow. Did you pay him up front?

All small scale luthiers must be effected by the weather and especially humidity. With the conditions that have prevailed in the highveld the last while Mervyn's production might well have taken a knock. He likes to do certain jobs when it's very dry (as a consequence of which his guitars laugh at a highveld winter) but "very dry" is not most people's idea of the summer we've had thus far.

I waited 8 months for mine in the end. This is the only hand-made guitar I've had from new, so I can't say if this time is exceptional, unacceptable or whatever.

No need to ask him ? I spoke to Mervyn last week. I just want a spy photo ?

He has quite a few orders, so naturally you would fall in the waiting list. I don't have a problem with waiting, It adds to the excitement. I just know it's any week now and I should have it!

Mervyn is a great guy, very enjoyable to work with and makes wonderful guitars.. Well worth the wait IMO ?

As far as I know mine is the first 6 string, and probably the 2nd Jaywalker. This is the first one...

Looks great doesn't it ?

Yes the Jaywalker's look might very well be my favourite but how do they compare in price to the SmoothTalkers?
