Marshall Class 5 and a Les Paul...love it...

Tokai-SA

Can this be beat...for the price...I don't think so?

I'm almost convinced I'm getting myself a Class 5...about 99% convinced. ?

You got to love this...

Although...have you seen the new Marshall modelling amps at NAMM...very very interesting..new era for sure?

50 and 100watts...why nothing smaller?

I'll wait for the pedalboard version

Tokai-SA

How about this Marshall Haze...killer amp, a very very loud 15watts.

Great video, the guy has a great sense of humour...?

So I picked one up...problem is it's way too loud, I'll have to get an attenuator.

Lance, yet another stack I see ?

Once you had a stack it is hard to go back to a combo!

Get yourself a TubeTamer!

[edit] It really looks super nice!

Hi Aubs

Just got back from Peter's studio...I actually went there to watch Peter recording Mirko Kesic on drums for an upcoming guitar demo video and a track for Peters new album.
Anyway I couldn't resist, I took the Haze head with me...damn, what a rocking little amp, extremely loud 15watts with killer Marshall crunch tones, and a very sweet "Hendrixy" clean channel as well.
Peter was blown away, I'll let him comment on his thoughts.

I'll have to use the Weber Mini Mass attenuator I just bought to tame the Haze in my apartment...I think it will work well....no doubt, "MARSHALL IS THE BALLS". ?

Hey Lance, geez, Peter is a very lucky guy........he gets to "play" with all the toys first........I'm jealous.......just kidding.....hahahaha

I would'nt mind getting my hands on some of those new "little" Marshalls......... ?

To be honest, I'm the lucky one...getting to watch him in the studio is like watching Harry Houdini at work...he makes magic. ?

Your Les Paul is funny-lookin' ?

?

It's a Tokai SC-2 model.
I got 8 of these a few years ago, sold 7 of them in Europe and the States on TGP Forum, kept one for myself.
Made in Japan.
1/4 sawn mahogany neck
Mahogany body, Maple top
Shaped as you can see like a Tele.
Nice guitar, very light, resonates like crazy, but not in the same league as the Love Rocks.

I didn't realize how fuzzy this photo was, must have jerked when I used the Blackberry to snap it. ?

I'm looking forward to checking out the Weber Mini Mass attenuator with the Haze...and I think I might like to add a 4x12 cab as well....even though these mini 1x12 cabs are very cool...especially two stacked on top of each other.

ExcEPT FOR THE JTM45, '72 SuperBass & much newer VintageModern, i am not the biggest Marshall fan . . .

. . . but, i LOVE the new lil Class5 8)

I am DEFF gonna get one.
Even the price is not too bad.
It is a little LOUD 5watter.
Saw the amp in the shop window the one evning, the next day i was back w my Gibbo SG, and had a blast on it for about 30min.
Would love to know how a diff speaker will sound with it, or even with an extention cab, like a 2X10, or even a 2X12.

And the amp even looks sturdy, well made, expensive and not 'plasticy' say like a Pevey ValveKing.

Marshall did GOOD one this lil amp.

Lots of new stuff from Marshall lately - looks like they are trying to keep up with all the other amp Co.s and current trends to keep a foot in the door, so to speak.

ezietsman

5 Watt valve amps are fairly loud depending on the circumstance. My Blackstar HT5 sounded very loud at home and at Marshall Music but when I played it at Greamestock it could not keep up (at all) with a Peavey Classic 30 and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (40 Watt?). And they were not cranked. Maybe a 5 Watt will do better in such a situation with a 2x12 or 4x12 cab. For home use they are unbeatable though ?
