Hey guys
So at midnight I started learning a song, and have been playing and practicing it non stop till now.. Something I haven't done in a long long time... (Ok it's now 2:03am but the forum's down on my side)
Almost got it down - some parts aren't up to speed (reached about 75% when it comes those crazy bursts) but can play majority of it.
Now my question is, has anyone ever had something spark them to play suddenly like this and what was it? What got the passion going for you - assuming it hadn't been slightly doused with time?

It happens to me all the time - an insatiable desire to express myself through music.
Any and all of my various moods can spark this off - happiness, sadness, remorse, anger, serenity. Yeah, I won't stop until I feel that I've captured the current mood sufficiently. Never totally satisfied though - that's the lot of being a muso I suppose.

I will never forget the day my father died . I played for 12 hours straight . I stopped when the cops cane knocking at my door . These days I don't need much motivation. But listening to dan platlansky will normally put me in a frenzy again . Which is normally every day .

As soon as I hear something new ( not necessarily original) and cool it makes me pick up my guitar.
