Hey guys,
I have uploaded some footage of the band in action at Emperors Palace in December. I used the Sunburst Tokai for a few gigs.
The audio is just the camera mic (nothing special) but you can get an idea of what the guitar sounds like.
Hope you enjoy,
Cheers,
Peter.

Good sir, may I just say you do that guitar justice!
The sustain on it is amazing! Is this natural sustain on the guitar?
We are having a huge party at my house tonight and I will be showing this clip at around 00:00 at full volume!
I bow!

Man I'll never forget your vibrato ? Watched you guys play last year..

Thank you so much for your kind comments. It's really appreciated.
Inflames I hope you have a great party. I'll be in your neck of the woods tomorrow. We're playing at the Worcester Skou tomorrow night. I'll be taking my Tokai Goldtop to the gig. (Well maybe Worcester is still a bit far out of Cape Town.) I'd love to meet some of you guys there.
The sustain is from the guitar and from my pedalboard. The tone that the camera picked up is a DI'd tone straight out of the pedalboard. The other feed goes to my amp. The amp is a cheap and nasty Marshall MG FX100. That serves as my monitor. I've been DI'ing for about 3 years now. The amp on stage that night was really very soft.
These days, I choose an amp firstly by how much it weighs and then how it sounds. I adore Marshall tube amps but I think our roadie would kill me. they are just too heavy for me. My tube Marshall lives in the studio now.
Cheers,
Peter.

That is one sweet guitar in the hands of a master! Pity I can't make it to your show tomorrow night, but I really wish I could. Damn!

This is incredible. The Tokai is good, but that's because you make it speak.
Wonderful playing, let me know of shows up in JHB, I will be there
