Keep it small for now Norio, a set of strings a month or something - that you could probably screw... sorry, persuade a dealer to supply in exchange for some advertising.

That's a brilliant plan Manfred. I can vouch for his Electric handbook. SUPER useful book to have around! Much more than these other silly guitar-encyclopaedia type books that cover too much too briefly!

I've been planning on getting a few promo copies for site competitions. All part of the master plan to world domination (in 10 easy steps).

Manfred, you'd be surprised... I had to cut out almost half the manuscript to fit it into the number of pages I was allowed.

That was the Electric Guitar Handbook - first draft was over 300 pages and New Holland Publishing (UK) only wanted 192. I've dropped New Holland, so there's no chance it will come out as an expanded edition. I'll probably revive the concept in a few years and do it in depth, rewriting it completely.

The "Hotrod" book I'm busy with now is going to be 300 pages. That's being published by Course Technology PTR - the same crowd who do all the Power! books (Sonar Power!, Sound Forge Power!, etc.) and classics like The Mixing Engineers Handbook and The Recording Engineers Handbook.

Not at all. I proposed exactly that to New Holland as another book. So many guitarists had to be left out to fit into the few pages I had and I had a lot of fun writing it.

lol just so ya know readers can tell when writers are enjoying themselves. Any chance of that book gettin off the ground with your new publisher?

Maybe in the future, but not now. They are a music technology publisher, rather than a general music publisher. That's fine - it's exactly where I want to be. They are continually branching out though, so it might be possible to do it at a later stage.
