Calling it bonded to set it apart from cheaper laminates is one thing, but it's wrong to call it solid. I'd go as far as to say it's an underhanded even fraudulent way of making people who see it in the shop think it is solid in the more traditional sense of one piece of wood.
It's a bit sneaky too. It's very easy to check if the top is solid. The hardest part of the guitar to evaluate for "solidness" is the sides.
