the octave is greta, the ts5 is just an added extra

TS5 can easily be converted in a TS808, and while you add it upgrade the caps for a boutique quality Tubescreamer. Cosmetically it isn't as cool, but sonically it can be.

Really good to know. Does the upgrade cost kill the savings of buying a TS5?

Well it depends who does it. Parts you are in for around R50.00, labour, depends who you use. I can't quote my rates here as it is unethical, but PM me in your are interested.
