Not sure what you call it but it looks like a kettle power plug with the 3 holes...
Anybody know where I can pick one up in the Bloubergstrand or Cape Town area?

The technical term is and IEC connector, it is the same used on computers, any computer or hardware or electrical store will have them, normally R20-R30.
