Found this little honey in a pawn shop tucked away behind the counter....R1900, I think it was worth it. She plays like a dream and not a scratch on her....

just as I was thinking, "My word you hve alot of guitars." i realised I'm not far off the mark. Although I got rid of a few so I only have 7 now. whew.

Nice Epi, and that stack looks like it would win the war...

Most of my guitars have been bargain finds,

Double neck - R3000, found it in Durban, almost fell over backwards when I saw it!
Sepultura Ibanez - R1500, although it was glitter blue when I found it.
Hohner - R1900, I'm actuall selling it at the moment R1200
Washburn Culprit - R3000
Fender Acoustic - R700 in a pawn shop, stickers all over it and someone had put nylon strings on the thing.
Framus Vintage - Found in my neighbours attic, they gave it to me!
Marshall stack - R800, my friend moved to the USA and his dad had the marshalls sitting in the garage for about 20 years, so he said make me an offer!!

Hi Paul , nice collection. Your Marshall stack date is wrong I think...they only started manufacturing around 1964/5 ? 1961 is too early..

When I opened the head up, I saw a sticker dated 1961, but will double check. There should be a way of tracing it through the serial number.

Love the collection, some seriously different things there. So that RG: you cut the JEM style monkey grip yourself? - very cool, love the finish. That Washburn I've never heard of, also very cool.

Looks like a mid 1970's 100w Super Bass to me. The letter at the end of the serial number will ID the year. 8)

Yep, we just went through to TOMS music store and took some measurements off of a Ibanez JEM then did the monkey grip cutout/scalloped out the back of the neck and just under the floyd rose. I haven't seen many Washburn Culprits around, apparently this was the only washburn Dimebag Darrel designed before he moved over to his Dean Guitar sponsership. I have to admit, it's one of the most brutal sounding guitars I've ever played and the action and feel is awesome. This taken from Wikipedia:

Dimebag Darrell ML body style Dimebag Signature series. Washburn's Dean ML-style Dime 333 and radical Gibson Explorer-like Dime Culprit models were the most popular. The Dime 333 had a floyd rose, the 332 model featured a stop-tail bridge.
The Culprit, with its sliced-up Explorer-style body, featured a Floyd Rose tremolo, a mirror pickguard and a pair of hot ceramic humbucking pickups with chrome cover.

With Marshall amps, numbers like 1961,1959,1960 have no bearing on year of manufacture....eg. 1960 is a code for a cab with 4 speakers eg. celestions

Thanks for the info, that clearly explains why there's a 1961 sticker in the head, I'll open it up on the weekend and have a look, I'm quite intrigued as to find out the exact date now.
