Ok... first a disclaimer, I shall not be held liable for damage to necks...
Many moons ago when I played a little grunge on the side I used use neck bends when I got a little feedback going for cool effects... dipping the neck is like a mini whammy and pulling it back stretches then dulls the sound in an interesting way. It wasn't good for my tele but that's okay since I mainly use it for slide now. Recently I've been messing around again with less brutal bends on harmonics and it sounds really cool.
Anyone else use this technique on a regular basis?

Strange that I have been trying that lately.
I first saw Monte Montgomery doing this with his Acoustic and he also does it with harmonics.
It's a bit of an art though, to get it to just bend right.

I've been doing it for years. Picked it up from seeing Adrian Belew do it. I keep my nut action fairly low so the strings crash if I do it too radically though.
