I guess it depends how you plan on using it, effects only or amp and cab sims as well?
If you plan on using effects only then it would be go into the effects loop of your amp with cab and amp sims turned off, and your amp providing the tone.
It has 2 1/4" jacks for footswitches/volume pedals, and midi inputs for midi controllers, I haven't tried yet but like Alan said, there's a whole forum dedicated to the unit so help is always at hand.
If you plan on using it direct to p.a or with cab sims (which are damn good btw) then you need to start thinking full range flat response power amps, not guitar amps and cabs, I'll post link to frfr amps a bit later.
Whatever you choose though, I'm sure it'll be great. It can't replace those awesome mesas and fender twins, but for low volume situations you can get those cool sounds without needing to crank up a tube amp.
