arjun ... no comparison the G120 is the better instrument by far ....in tone and feel..... well this particular one i have is is.....
not sure if you have ever played some real traditional classicals and know how the feel.... the rich tone and fat necks........ but the yamaha g120 is a direct copy of the rameriz of 70's and they did a damn good job of getting the feel and tone right ....can't tell you how many people have heard me play my G120 and when i get off stage ask about the the luthier who built my guitar ...... but thats the moment when i smile and watch the shock on their faces when i tell em it's a production line yamaha from 72........ which i found in a pawn shop and paid R600 for
i'm not slating the G225 is great and playable and has a slightly brighter tone and as i said prob use it as a backup guitar for pro acoustic gigs it's that good but lacks the velvet feel and tone of the G120 ...heheh maybe when it grows up in another 10 years it too will sound as rich ....heheheheh
? Cool. Well, i have never really played too much classical/nylon because (although i love the sounds and the nuances that are possible on a nylon string guitar) i was not capable of discovering the beauty of the instrument.
The cool thing though is that you found something that rocks your boat, and it would be nice to hear what your new find sounds like.
I like your velvet tone pseudo-analogy. I usually liken my sound to hot chocolate fudge ?
