Marshall Haze 40w - buy or not?

Hey guys, im thinking of buying a full valve amp. I went on marshall's website a while back and saw they had the new MA series amps coming out. But a friend of mine can organise me a marshall haze amp for a very good price, so, i went back on the site and compared the two amps. To me they pretty much look the same. Except ofcourse for the wattage difference (and i suppose the price as well with the MA being more expensive) ? I read on the website somewhere that the marshall MA amps has AX-75 speakers (don't really know them) and the Haze has Celestion G12T-66 speakers. What i wanna do is use my pod X3 live and bypass the amp just to use the speaker and valves (so my pod is basically my amp). I was just wondering if this is worthit?? At the moment I have a marshall valvestate VS102R 100w combo, but just with preamps. I know that valves just make a BIG difference, and thats the logical step forward for me.

Im not to worried about the valves, from what i've read, the EL-34's are more middy etc, more for the "lead" guitarist in the band, which fits perfectly for me.

But yeah, if someone can help, please do, I might go buy the amp this weekend, so any help will be appreciated

I like the name.. haze.. die it purple and you sorted ?

The good thing about the haze is that you can get reviews off the net which can help you make your mind
The MA wont have reviews for a while and the first reviews you get after the people hear them are always extreme
They either praise it as the best or say its the worst, its only after time that a general consensus comes out..
Most people think the amp they just bought is the best ever until a year later they get less biased

The reviews on the Haze seem pretty good.. you might just wait for the MA and it might suck
40W is good for gigging, can hear yourself if you close enough and not irritate everyone else in the band with your noise ?

I would go for the Haze, the general consensus seems good enough.. What style are you playing?

Yeah, its def good for gigging. Our other guitarist has the line 6 spidervalve MKII 40w and its LOUD. We play like a post hardcore sound. But i also wanna use it for n more alternative sound as well. But like I said, my pod wil be the amp, im just gonna use the speakers basically.

when you hear the sound of marshall i think the marshall will become your amp ? haha

sounds like a decent buy and im sure the resale will be easy should you decide you dont need it anymore

Seriously, if you want a very good valve amp for alternative/hard rock/metal type sounds come play on my Valveking with your stuff. You MAY just like it ?

If you're using modelling ect. like the POD the valves won't do much to your tone IMO. Spare the cash rather.

To me it's the other way around, but okay. I dunno about the POD but some modelers actually allow you to turn off the digital fake amp and speaker, and to use it as a multi effects box.

Well then it would make sense, but with amp sims it would make the upgrade not worthwhile.
