figured its been a long time since I updated my setup, so quickly, I traded me plao escrito tele, for a usa deluxe strat (wine red) which I reallly like. Then my existing john mayer makes it a family of strats ?
My pedals I have added the big muff and rat etc
then there is my newish bassman 10, which I think sounds REALLY NICE, my favourite. *which sometime next year I will have to say good bye to.

What is the Acoustic?
which strat do you prefer? How does the rosewood compare to the maple?

funny enough I used to swear by rosewood, BUT then I got the deluxe and it was so much more snappy and I think I prefer it, it may also be the pups, they are fuller. Both rad guitars but for my music the deluxe is just a fraction better.
The acoustic is a washburn... not sure to what model, sadly I selling it at them moment, that is if anyone decides to buy it.

Oh man. I really wanted that Carbon Copy. But I'm picking up an Ibanez AD9 today that just might be vintage. So that'll do me. What's the blue box with the white knobs?

the ad9 is pretty similar to the carbon copy, just you are getting yours at R500 if I am right???? You must tell everyone what its like, I have only heard good things about it............... Thats my mi audio blues pro, whic his greta BUT due to my stupid nature may be for sale soon as I am ordering a Keeley modded bd2 (exciting stuff) So I may post the blues pro up soon,

I'm actually swapping my holy grail for the AD9. It's a nice deal for the guy, but I need to get the Boss FRV1 reverb and I wanted an analogue delay, (and didn't want to fork out for a Carbon Copy so I was looking at ending up with a DD3) so it just works out (also the LED on the Grail is bust).

Then I will have one overdrive, one fuzz, and a delay (also wah, reverb, and tremolo (eventually)). ?

I was listening to a track off Sonic Youth's Goo record. Those guys are the true tone nuts. They must have enough distortion and fuzz pedals between them to fill a garage. ???

they do, the one dude uses the mxr blue box like mine, kinda why I got it. but yeh they love their fuzz. Thats a good deal on the ad9 hope you dig it. I checked the keeley ad9 the other day and it exploded my brain. I have never been a big reverb guy, weird..... I just like too set my delay for short repeats over a long period thus always on the edge of self oscillation ???
my carbon copy does this ok.... but I REALLY want the deluxe memory man..... alas that is alot of money away

got the AD9 from Canon (forum member). Very banged up, and refinished and all that. But the analogue sound is hard to beat. Sounds perfect through my bassman 10.

my rat is so old bought it second hand, its an 80s model, and its pretty beaten up but thats cool.
That bassman 10 I just got it, and feel kinda weird to say I like it more than a twin :-\ :-\ :-\
Cograts on the delay, I think it is a effect one must have.

I'm kind of torn about black-facing the 10. On the one hand I'd love the bassman overdrive. On the other, I'm worried about losing the beautiful clean tone it has already.

hmmmmm, I have been getting quite nice breakup around 5 or 6 (not really alot of breakup) but it sounds nice to me, I figure I have my OD pedal for a reason.

I found that sound guys would start telling me to turn down if I went beyond 3. Very frustrating cos you're only starting to get some tone by 3. But it doesn't break up much. What I love about natural amp overdrive is the way it cleans up if you play soft or roll back the volume and goes ape when you really dig in. I've got a tube-screamer and a Fuzz-face, up I'm really starting to get a jones for those kinds of overdrive dynamics. Know what I mean?

Maybe yours is an earlier circuit too. I think the earliest silverfaces had blackface circuitry. Could be wrong about that though.

HAHA i know this all too well....very frustrating hey. i then went 2x12 (instead of previous 4x12) and that helped slightly but still never get over 3 ☹ with my 6505+

hahah, we all suffer then, I get it alot to, but I often find its due to a ill experienced sound guy. Whats that fuzzface like???? I always liked there sound, and have considered getting the mxr fuzz 108 whic his pretty much the same. Is it less fuzzy crazy than a muff?
