Soult worship band

Hi all

I am in a (christian) worship band called Soult, we are in the process of looking for venues as part of a "tour". So far we have earmarked Knysna area, Joburg/Pretoria, Durban and PE. And of course locally around CT too!
I know that there are a few of you guys out there who are involved in church bands/christian music, so what I want to ask is if any of you would know of a venue (church, youth group, christian event/organisation, school etc) that would consider hosting us for an evening.

As a band we really feel called to this, we have a passion for worship. We like to think that we merge a "band" kind of sound with worship, if that makes sense.
We have been a "band" for around 4 years, we started out in our church's worship teams and things just progressed from there. We are still involved in our church worship today! What dates are you looking at? What sort of sound systems do you need in place? If you want to come to Vereeniging (Gauteng, just south of Jhb), I'd be very interested in organising it.

Thanks CDee, no dates are pegged yet, but we prob looking at after the world cup. We have someone who will hopefully be organising a few gigs together (planning on +- 2 weeks), so once we have finalised the dates for that I will let you know. (guy is only available after 14 Jan again)
Regarding sound system, it doesn't need to be too fancy, we are used to playing on church sound rigs! ?

Just a thought, why don't you package yourselves in with other Christian bands and try book traditional rock venues as a mini-fest?

yeah, thats something I've been thinking about, but we'd probably start that locally first (CT).

Mercury, Assembly etc. Honestly not sure if there's a market but a Sunday night gospel show would interest me even though I'm not religious, especially if it's a few bands doing their thing.
