Death Metal Guys

From the Reverend Horton Heat's new record - a comparison of rockabilly cats vs. Death Metal guys. Funny:

Bob-Dubery

Droll (but not drol)

I particularly like the reminder of Jerry-Lee shooting his bassist. He was some kinda whack-job that man.

Despite all the contrived displays of evil that we've seen over the last 40 years of so, I think it's the original rock 'n rollers who were the real deal. EG the character in the Johnny Cash song who "shot a man in Reno just to watch him die."

Jack-Flash-Jr

Chuck Berry is the only man Keith Richards is afraid of.
'nuff said.

Chuck decked him once, right?

Yes, but to be fair Chuck didn't know who he was. He thought he was some fan, and let's be honest... who in 1981 knew who Keith Richards was ?

plus thi from Hail Hail rock 'n Roll:
"Highlights of the film include a testy exchange between Richards and Berry on how to set an amplifier for a guitar, and Berry needling Richards on his playing of the intro to his "Oh, Carol" during a rehearsal."
