Good Strat pups

Hey guys, particularly you strat owners... so I'm looking for a nice set of strat pups, nice vintage voiced specimens.. My thoughts so far are the Lace sensor golds or blues (although at R1195 each) yikes! the texas specials which i can snag for R3000 (set of 3) but... I'm wondering if anyone has heard or own the Dimarzio vintage noiseless pups... how are those in the strats? I havent really heard rave reviews about the Seymours... I love their buckers but from what fellow muso's are telling me, the SSL1-6's are weak?! true, false? Heard a few reviews over the net on the fender pups, got nothing on the dimarzios... also heard the seymours but in all honesty... over the pc speakers they all sound the same... Opinions? Thanks

Mike, they are the Kinman Woodstock hx regulars, i went onto the kinman site as per the instructions on tips for setup and found something i really like. they are helluva responsive pups and the tone changes quite a bit depending on their distance from the strings.

came with two caps which i have added into the wiring too..

Interesting pups. alnico 5 magnets.

Alan, yeh i was really pleased with the price. the gent had to double check after giving me the discount and the other guy said they were in store for so long that that price was fine.

Suits me ?

Riaan wrote Alan, what do you think of Joe Barden pups? Other than that they're damn expensive...

Never used them, but had a good look at all the tele clips available a couple of years ago and thought they were a bit too "Hi-fi" for me. Quite a few Tele players love them (notably Danny Gatton).
