Hi All
shaundtsl
Hi
My name is shaun,
Been playing guitar for around 10 years now. Played mostly guitar in bands, but played for one band as a bassist (was a very cool experience as well).
I enjoy playing anything from blues to metal, but of late I seem to be bitten by a recording bug and in the process of wanting to start thinking about maybe attempting to consider trying my hand at building a home recording studio ???.
By building, meaning not actually construction work, but getting some cool gear to record some nice stuff for my own enjoyment... I am rambling now...
In a nut shell, I am one of those muso's who doesnt naturally get the talent, I generally need to put in a little bit extra than the natural guys, but a bonus is that I love it so I keep coming back for more.
My gear consists of:
-G-tars-
Epiphone les paul standard
Ibanez RG7321
Cort Acoustic (not to sure of model)
Yamaha 12 string acoustic
Banged up samick bass
-Amps-
Marshall valvestate 65R
Laney 50w Bass amp (not to sure of model)
Roland cube 30w
-Effects-
Korg AX1500G
Boss DD3
(But mostly just like to switch between the clean and od channels on the amp)

Welcome Shaun - there are number of people on the forum who can give you good advice on studio recording setups from basic systems to the more professional systems.
My advice is to establish what it is you actually want to achieve, and I'm sure you will get many responses.
