This book is just so deep.

At 39 pages, you'd think it wouldn't be worth much but EACH lesson has the potential to catapult your playing to the next level. From 2-note power-chords that sound like so much more, to finger-twisting exercises, modal exercises & so much more.

If you practise each lesson in this book to perfection, it would probably take you 6 months or more -- and that's devoting at least 20 minutes to 1 hour to of practising just the material in here.

Heck, just the fingerings for some of the chords make me feel queasy ?

Definitely value for money here!

Lol..it was tricky when i first picked up Joe Satriani's Guitar Secrets. The lessons on loosening up your fingers by playing augmenteds all over the fretboard definitely conditioned my hand. Another interesting lesson is the one on harmonised scales (playing scales through 3rds, 4ths,5ths, 6ths etc etc). And the lessons on pinch harmonics and natural & artificial harmonics were very helpful.I'm glad to see that i'm not the only one who went out and bought the book.

Incidentally, i bought a copy of John Petrucci's Wild Stringdom, and i must that that book has worked some miracles for me in terms of giving me ideas for my playing. And it helps you get some jazz ideas into your metal playing..how cool is that? Like Marty Friedman and his video Exotic Scales for Metal; and Melodic Control..he he

? Now if you really want to stretch your fingers a little more, search out a book called Reaching for the Uncommon Chord by Allan Holdsworth.

Chord Mastery and Advanced Chord Progressions. (Or something along those lines.)
