Hi all you clever peeps!
A bit of advice please . . .
My mate has a Squire strat, and has received an EMG HZ s1 passive pup (brand new) as a gift. Any advice on the best position to place this particular pup on a strat? ☹
He has checked all pickup settings on his axe, and has found that the bridge pup currently in, is the least responsive. Do we go with that, or are there other considerations > ... . . .. . .. ???
My personal thoughts would be to slip it into the neck position, but that's just me . . hehe 8)
Any sound advice would be really appreciated . . .
Many thanks

Bridge position is usually the weak point in any Strat, so most people start there. On the other hand, it'll be an upgrade for any pickup position, so if he lives on the neck position pickup (for instance) he might want to start there to get the most out of the position he uses.
