BOSS ds-1 distortion pedal

hi i was just wondering what you all thought about da boss ds-1 distortion pedal and what you like and didnt like?

I had one for a while. Its the whole nirvana sound (before he moved to the Turbo one) etc. I didnt like the overly trebley and scooped mids. I used to run the tone all the way down to try get some form of bass out of it.

Its a good solid pedal but as far as distortion pedals go there are better ones out there just maybe not for the price of a DS-1
