Thanks for the great deals Gareth, the more I am playing this tele, the more I am digging it. It sounds fantastic through my deluxe reverb, even the GF commented on how good it sounds.

Great guitars - bought Squeir Tele too and was gonna replace pick ups, tuning machines, bridge, everything, but it was so good I just ended up chaning the pickguard and control plate! Enjoy!

Nick's one is the Affinity series Special edition ( http://www.squierguitars.com/products/search.php?partno=0310203550 )
It sounds really good, it has a bit more twang than mine. We demo'd the Baja they had against the affinity, and to be honest, I preferred the tone from the affinity.

Pretty much what I had in mind, buy a cheapie then mod the hell out it. 8)

Look at it this way ... it's now got some of your own "houding" and you don't have to worry about the first ding anymore !
When you get famous one day, Fender will be faithfully reproducing that ding perfectly in their "Nick Relic" signature range

wasnt me ☹ guitar was sitting on a stand next to the wall in my spare room which has a double bed in it against the wall. one of the cats obviously decided it looked like a nice place to sleep and attempted to 4x4 up it and pulled it over. In turn crushing my music stand, shattering a small side table that had soldering iron stuff on and mashing the mike stand into the guitar. I woke up, walked past the room and though wtf went on in here.. ?

More likely because fish don't have the body mass to pull down double beds that are leaning upright against walls
