NGD: Tele

Reinhard

Forum member nick and myself went on a guitar shop expedition in CT, and we each ended up with a Squire Tele after some very nice discount. Twang deluxe...
Mine is on the right, nick's is on the left.

Very nice ...
I think I may have seen you in Marshall's and Bothner's on your expedition today ...
If not ... there were two others on a hunting expedition !!

Thanks for the great deals Gareth, the more I am playing this tele, the more I am digging it. It sounds fantastic through my deluxe reverb, even the GF commented on how good it sounds.

Thanks guys! Both Nick and myself can't believe the tones we can get out of these. Why haven't I bought one ages ago?

Great guitars - bought Squeir Tele too and was gonna replace pick ups, tuning machines, bridge, everything, but it was so good I just ended up chaning the pickguard and control plate! Enjoy!

That's the one on the right - would have been my choice too. What's the one on the left? A standard?

Nick's one is the Affinity series Special edition ( http://www.squierguitars.com/products/search.php?partno=0310203550 )
It sounds really good, it has a bit more twang than mine. We demo'd the Baja they had against the affinity, and to be honest, I preferred the tone from the affinity.

Pretty much what I had in mind, buy a cheapie then mod the hell out it. 8)

I want the natural body with the blonde's neck! The natural's neck is crying out for some ageing.

I guess it's time to get over my anti-Squire snobbery and access my inner Sprinsteen.

Guitars must always sleep in cases ☹
