SO I was lucky enough to have a friend lend me his amp for a week, seeing as he has about 6 valve amps he didnt mind and he was away doing shows so I was left with his lovelly fender hot rod deluxe (white) as that is his "practice knock around amp."
So I plugged it in and first thing I noticed was this thing is loud as heck!!!!! I play a 72 Fender twin normally but this thing was just as loud and actually harder to get at lower volumes.
SO its clean was typically fender like, followed by its distortion channel which I immediatly turned back off as it was horrible. I took all my pedals on their baord and tryed them out one by one, MXR super comp sounded like a compressor, EHX frequency analzer (the same) MXR blue box, seemed to make the amp rattle a bit more than I would have liked if it was my amp and pretty new. MI audio blues pro sounded pretty good. BUT BUT BUT when i put my rat on I was surprised to find it didnt sound to nice, very nasally, where by in my twin it sounded nice and crunchy. So i tried a russian muff on the amp and the same happened it was very nasally, so a USA little muff and the same..................
The amp is a great amp but I dont know if I liked it, especially sing ce distortion and fuzz on high levels dont sound to nice.
Anyone else experience the amp? heres a pic of the amp. PLEASE NOTE this is a pic from my friends practice space so tha is not my gear, sad I know.....
