My brother is coming out from the UK early next year, and instead of paying shipping costs from the UK to here I thought I'd get him to bring it out for me - anyone know what the deal is travelling with guitars (I know you get special weight compensation for things like golf clubs - are instruments similar?)

I travelled with my guitar lately , get him to put it in a gig bag . Bring it on as carry on and they will put it in the pressurized forward hold . It will be fine . Hell it didnt even go that badly out of tune which i was amazed about . Oh and keep as close to tuned up as possible before the flight .

Thanks Gearhead - much appreciated! He's travelling with his girlfriend so that means that I can get them to bring two out! ?
