Anyone know anything about them? I was looking at the Ibanez RG350DX online and it keeps going on about this wizard neck. ???
Very skinny necks that some shredders love. Personally, even before I got into fat necks, I fond them way to thin, making my left hand cramp. A standard Strat neck is usually somewhere from .80" to .83" (20.3mm - 21.1mm) thick, while a Wizard is .735 (18.6mm). Your Cort is .82 (about 21mm). BTW - even .01 of an inch (.25mm) difference can be felt. My favourite thickness is a 22mm (.870)
I was playing on an Ibanez Gio the other night and it seemed to have the same length neck as my G254 but it was thinner and the frett spacing seemed different, this RG350DX has Jumbo fretts anyone got the manual on necks and frett size?
I think all the Ibz guitars aside from the jazz boxes are 25.5" (Fender) scale length, so the fret spacing should be the same. They use one of two fret sizes: medium and jumbo. Medium is like a modern fender or your Cort and Jumbo is like a Gibson wire (slightly wider and lower). taller frets have a tendency to make a neck feel bigger.
