andrewjbryson As soon as I get a new toy I like to record some clips while Im still inspired. Here is a few rough cuts I did with the Marshall JMP1 which arrived yesterday. Some info on the unit itself : http://www.amptone.com/marshalljmp1.htm No effects , just 4 channels and some cool E.Q options (like the Bass Shift & Presence control) Clean1, Clean2, OD1, OD2. And here are the clips : http://www.box.net/shared/ab2y5lgl26 http://www.box.net/shared/2pvrbj2clq http://www.box.net/shared/fctliuf9er
inflames Insane Andrew, love the first clip. Now go finish the song ? Still can't believe I had the JMP-1 at my house for a week without plugging it in once! I'm sure I'm going straight down to the warm place! Enjoy it dude!
PeteM That's very lekker Andrew - very warm on the cleans and 'throaty' on the OD. Which guitar/s did you use?
andrewjbryson Lean : Hey thanks for keeping her "warm" for me. And by the way. You have good wrapping skills! Pete : I used the Ibanez RGA121 Prestige on the Bridge pickup (Dimarzio Evo2) , I needed a hot humbucker to drive the overdrive channels I haven't tried the Fender on the clean channels yet.... Could be interesting.

Heath Inflames , you will be a lost soul , to roam the earth for eternity , for that .... Hell i would have winded that jmp
BMU Classy and perfectly played as always. Sounds real good. (I couldn't access the second link, is it working?) Slightly OT: It would be interesting to see how the JMP1 model in my POD XT compares. I'd try it out but I know I'll get sucked in and spend hours fiddling. ? It's sound seemed a bit thin, then again I was probably looking for the wrong kind of tone out of it.

inflames You gonna run your Ibanez AW into the JCM so long? Manny was kind enough to borrow me his Jackson Kelly that he is not using at the moment. +1 Manny ? So I can at least jam hardcore on the JCM, but need to find a new guitar early next year! Choices Choices Choices!!!
xcpointx (Posting this here cos its relevant to the JMP1) I've been offered a Marshall JMP1 preamp for R2500. You guys think this is a good deal? Ive already got a triaxis but very keen to complete the arsenal with the British version ?
Manfred-Klose So if I buy it and dont like it, you'd be keen to buy it from me same price? Me also. arghh.........i just remembered that i bought a mesa boogie studio pre amp few weeks ago...... But it could be a handy tool to have ? P.S: thats a good price.
inflames That is a great price!!! Buy it, I'm 100% convinced that someone on the forum will take it off your hands in a flash!
andrewjbryson xcpoint : that is a very very good price. I paid 4 K for mine and that was a decent price. They don't manufacture them anymore, but last I checked they were selling for R9995 on www.soundz.co.za (2006 +-) However the average price that they go for on Ebay is around $440. If you like crunchy , defined overdrive with smooth low mid's, you won't be disappointed.
