Wow Donovan, that sounds like so much fun! Good on you!

I don't have a similar story, but me and my best friend toured Europe in 2001.
I did not take a guitar with, but the one evening in Switzerland (Lauterbrunnen) we partied in a old bomb shelter.
There were so many of us that came on a contiki tour. There were an old guitar hanging behind the bar.
So I asked the barman if I could play it a bit and he agreed.

Needless to say the guitar might have been used in the second world war it still sounded ok'ish.
Being the metal head I am, I played unplugged Metallica, Guns & Roses and some Nirvana.
Some people even joined in singing!

I will never forget that night!

Must have been brilliant Don!
But you are right, music is a great leveller, puts us all on the same level.
Some of the best moments that I have experienced is when I first started playing, only knew a couple of chords, and me and my friend Basil used to jam "Knocking on heavens door" and "Locomotive Breath".

We used to do at least thirty minute versions of each song, it was brilliant, we could go on all day and night.

Pity I lost that for so many years, I need to find people to jam with!
