Thanks blokes. Well the Les Paul on the wall was an SX GG1 Les paul studio, with vintage sunbrust. Man, a story for you.
I hunted this puppy down for ages, mostly because I loved the look to it, preferred it to the Epiphone studio, mostly because it was built way better than any epiphone studio I ever saw, the specs are all modelled on a Gibson LP studio. The sound was amazing, and it played better than most guitars I have ever played, especially any LP copy I ever saw.
Solid mahogany body, set in mahogany neck, same scale neck, maple venear. Loved it.
It weighed an absolute tonne though, and the tone was semi worth it, but I had to actually sell it, because the weight was just killing me. I was developing some serious back problems. I would look at maybe getting and LP Ultra maybe some time down the line if I can afford it, or if I am going to splash that sort of cash, I would get a PRS SE Tremonti.
