At the price its offered, I'd snap this up if I was in that area.
It's a great price, but
I would think you personally have probably moved beyond the Focusrite Platinum range.
I realise its not strictly guitar stuff, but since a good few of us run home studios etc, I thought I'd point it out.
Absolutely! I'm always looking for upgrades and additions for the studio (and above all, bargains). I know I'm not alone in that...
Hi Alan,
I actually rate the Platinum range a lot higher than most, and find them very useful tools. Certainly not my first choice, but with some of the bargains you can pick up, especially when considering how little my budget is currently, they are ideal, and great to have as part of a selection of kit. Plus, I'm only really using them in my home studio, or to tame dynamic voices at my church, so don't need them to be of 'Neve' or 'SSL' standards. That of course would be nice!
If/when I get back into the studio game, then I can always sell on most of this kit for pretty much what I paid for it, and the experience gained back again after so many years away is very valuable. Thats the goal, anyhow!
If I find any more bargains (that I don't want to keep selfishly hidden away) I'll post them up!
Cheers
G!
