I did come across that ad. Could you give us any info RE the colour schemes, considering they haven't got any pics up?

sure, the gold top was gold ? front, back, sides and back of neck

the Sheraton was vintage sunburst black to dark cherry fade like this:

it does look tasty, btw that pics just an example i scavenged from the web, not the actual guitar. they go for like 300 US on ebay,, if you can find a 1960's in minty condition then your'e talkin 1-2k $ nice...

Unless you want to rip the lady off, I'd say the Sheraton is worth at least 4k...
The crack is 10 to one just a finish crack.

The crack looked pretty deep.

on fleabay you can buy a new Sheraton II for $390 shipping $30-50 + 14% VAT this will set you back R4k, but the axe will be in mint condition, sure it's probably made in china or indo, but thats what it's going for.

This is not a 1950-60 vintage/rare example.

I think I valued it fairly.

Good idea. But I don't see that set up running just off solar, even with the deep cycle battery.......I reckon 2-3 hours and you've got to plug it in.

I bought one of these many years ago and frankly it was a load of rubbish. Terrible tone. It might have just been mine that was bad but generally the strange 70's "Less Pauls" that Gibson brought out are not well-regarded.

Let your ears be the judge - just don't buy one without trying it first.
