You would think I played with a ouiji board or conjured some evil spirit, to get this. We went for our FIRST big rehearsal for the new year in a lovelly little office space unused at night, It has alarms, electric fence, and all out many locked doors and security gates.
We finished practicing last night around 11pm, packed our pedal boards, and guitars, as we were returing the next day at 5 to practcice again. Al the doors were locked a totlal of 8 of them, alarms were set including infered beams (no lies), and at 11pm I drove away thinking all was safe.
GOt a call this morning that, a group of fellows, pulled the door/security gate of the wall, and somehow bypassed the alarm, THEY STOLE ALmost EVERYTHING, and what they didnt take they trashed and pissed on, including my amp, mixer, bass amps drums, other amp, metranomes, mics.
All in all this is a crappy day, and i am well angry. I am beginning to beleive its impossible to actually make it past crime in this countrey.

I They took the really nice Pa we just bought. What sucks is all the stuff that was insured they didnt take, and what was new and we had JUST bought was jacked. It just sucks that you cant just practice without getting screwed. Luckly I just found the guitar amps strewn in a corner, they dont have good taste sadly, they would have had a good bit of tube amps.

That really sucks.What's worse is that the chances of finding the guys or gear is pretty much nill. Hope the cops do put in some time and effort with it, though.

More likely the alarm went off and nobody bothered to do anything, or it was an inside job.
My condolences. This is a setback, and a financial loss, that you don't need.

Did you report to the cops? Did you have serial numbers, valuations, descriptions, photos?
We got burgled last year. The cops actually reacted quite quickly and efficiently. The biggest problem was that we hadn't recorded any serial numbers. They caught a gang in our area, with a whole bunch of stuff, but because none of the complainants had recorded serial numbers it was difficult to prove that all those TVs and LCD computer monitors were stolen and thus hard to make a case. If I'd been able to give the cops one serial number and they'd found that item in these kids possession then a case could have been made.

just a point ....... watch the gumtree and maybe even call the cash crusaders/cash converters in your area and drop off or fax them a discription of the gear ....... maybe you get lucky .prob not but to me it'd be worth the effort
and as i said watch music ads and gumtree.... they will need to sell that gear ...... and if you just bought the PA you should have the receipts which will have the serial numbers and if you bought it from a store even if the serial number is not on the receipt they can trace it from the stock number ...........

They stole, all our Pa and amp stuff we bought 2 days ago, mixer, parts of the drums (strange as you kinda need it all) Metranome (a boss DR beat)
What really sux is we cant use the space now, cause they really wanted all the office stuff, x8 computer moniters servers, ALOT USD.
They also just sorta through our amps out the way into the wall and pissed all over the room, you would think they brough horses in for the amount of piss.
But yeh could have been worse

I'm glad they were mainly after the office equipment - and a good thing you took your guitars and other stuff with you last night. I hope when you say "we can't use the space now" they're not inferring that somehow you guys were to blame?

Jeez dude, that's horrible! I'm really sorry to hear it!! Was it insured by any chance? Doesn't change how horrible the experience is/was but hopefully it can get you guys back on your feet a bit faster.

Sucks man. What a nightmare. Thank goodness they didn't get the amps or guitars too. You must be gutted.

Nothing that got taken was insured, cuz we just got it two days ago (Pa) No we werent to blame as far as i know, however the police wanna have a talk now.
