BTW - I would advise checking stock before you travel to pick one up. There hasn't been much time to get extra stock to the stores (although you can buy one and wait a few days for it if your particular store doesn't have stock).

Also, I'd appreciate if those that take advantage of this deal post here to let me know.

These are the newer, less expensive versions of the excellent but pricey Musicman guitars and basses. Very good quality stuff with the same features as the more expensive versions, just made in Asia to keep the prices down. So if you've been lusting after a Stingray5 bass (I have) or a Pettrucci signature guitar but can't afford them and want something better than the cheap OLP models, these are them.

Very much less than the original Music Man.
Bothners have a MM Axis retail for R 35k ... the Sterling equivalent (AX20) is about R 9k.
This is prior to normal shop discounts or specials, which can be quite big.

I played the basses for a while yesterday. Retails were about R12,500 (four or five string - the two I saw came in at different times and exchange rates, so the 5-string was R500 cheaper than the four ?). Solid, well made, well set up and worth it IMO.
