Floyds (and the "licensed" Floyds) are double locking floating trems, so are easy to recognise because the guitar will have a lock nut at the top of the neck. Which model Cort is it?
The main thing to understand with floating trems is that the bridge balances between the pressure of the strings pulling it forward and that of the springs pulling it back. Ideally the bridge should be level with the body or leaning slightly forwards.
Usually if you're getting fret buzz (you don't say, but I'm presuming it's fret buzz) it's because the new strings are lower tension than the old ones, so the spring tension is pulling the bridge back a little (which lowers the action a bit). So you need to loosen off the spring tension a touch by backing out the two big springs on the spring claw at the back of the guitar (try a half turn each). Once you have done this, retune (the general rule is retune every time you do any adjustment to a Floyd, regardless of how small) and see if the bridge is level. If it's still leaning back, repeat. If it's too far forward, tighten the claw screws a little again. Basically repeat and fiddle until the bridge is level.
If you're still getting fret buzz you might need to raise the whole bridge (by turning the pivot posts anticlockwise).
Also note that the buzz might also mean that you don't have enough relief in the neck and need to slacken the truss rod a little. If the buzz only happens between the second and 12th frets (approximately) then this is almost certainly the case.
