If you got a telecaster with a nice sound, let me know, i am thinking getting a telecaster with some cutomizing.
What pickups do you use on the brigde and neck, what does it sound like.
I'm looking at the seymour duncan hot rails for the bridge pick up.

If I see anything, I'll shout.
IMO It's kind of a waste to get a Tele and slap a Hot Rails in - you'll kill a big part of what makes it a Tele. Go hotter than stock, fine, but I think a Hot rails will be over the top.

I see Lee Gold Music have a Seymour Duncan "Nashville Studio Pickup for Tele"
anybody know what this p/up sounds like , I gather its supposed to be a Bridge p/up
Dont worry Alan , those Baja p/ups are staying just where they are ?

Low output vintage model much beloved by country players. They have Alnico 2 on the high strings to soften the attack and regular Alnico5 on the lower strings.

I always wanted a hi gain tele, dont know why.
This guitar is going to be for hard rock guitar riffs, i'll fit a classic tele pickup to the neck position for clean sounds.

Maybe you should look in to what guys like John 5 or Slipknots guitarist is doing with their telecasters ? John 5 still does all the country shred stuff on his tele but he still gets a cool rock sound aswell.

Yes, the John 5 Tele is an interesting one - it's high powered, but still manages to keep a lot of the Tele character and does clean to distorted very well. Heavy as hell though.
