Where can I get my guitars setup?

Hi Guys,

Recently had two of my guitars setup by a chap at a local CPT music shop - really not happy with them. (Both new guitars)...

1) Hamer XT Archtop P-90's - strings seem to be different volumes and chords sound out of tune even though the intonation is in....also has fret buzz acoustically and through the amp...

2) Cort M600 - in tune, even volume, but bad fret buzz...

Playing both through a Tech 21 trademark 30 on the clean tweed setting, they are almost unplayable from a tone / sound perspective = anyone in Cape Town able to help with a professional setup?

The Hamer I had the same problem with string volumes, but you can sort it out easily yourself - adjustable polepieces. Just screw 'em out a little to make a string louder and in to bring the volume down. Use your ears. Usually you're going to have to bring High E and B up a little and take down the G string. Lowering the overall pickup height will also help to even out string to string volume and may also help with the intonation issue.
