+1. I don't know the Sanchez, but the real entry level stuff is rarely worth spending the money on. The Squiers and cheaper Corts can all be done up to some degree, but even then, make sure that any expensive upgrade is reversible and hang on to the old parts as you rarely get your money back on it if you sell to upgrade again later.
So save up and keep an eye out here/Gumtree/Junkmail. When you see something that looks affordable ask around here and the guys will tell you if it's worthwhile having. Good stuff does pop up inexpensively - like the
Cort M200 Wizard just found or the
Hamer I just picked up.
