Astatic are owned by CAD and the local CAD agents are A.M. Audio. I have no idea if the Astatic brand are being brought in though.

Thanks Alan. I have popped them a mail. Was reading that these are inexpensive mikes and lekker for harmonica.

Ooooh, I am also in the market for a lekker harp mic. At the moment I am leaning towards the Shure Green Bullet (520DX) but I haven't made up my mind yet, so let me know what you find please!

I don't have a harp amp yet, for for now I'll be going straight through PA, or fiddling about in Guitar Rig 3.

I will probably get a Champ 600 soon tho, any other suggestions?

I'd imagine the new baby Marshall would work well. I think Dave Ferguson uses some kind of little Marshall.

Lots of custom stuff across the pond specific for harmonica. did a bit of sums and looks like will be quite pricey to get them sent over. But the Champ is a good choice. Recommended by many. Check out MusicMadness - maybe still cheap there and I have had good experience buying a guitar from them last week. Thanks Matt and Daniel. So you go into the Champ and then PA? See, I dont know but maybe you okes can tell me. Between the microphone and the whatever it is that is going to deliver the final product I want a loop station. Now this may be a bit complex because I want a guitar and a harmonica going into the looper. Is this possible. See, my kids dont want to jam with me so I want to try and jam by myself. Nah, just got some stupid ideas. Thinking that if you got people doing their own percussive stuff with feet and knees then why not overlay some instruments, ne? And I also want to slap a concertina and a violin in sometime. 2012 is coming and you gotto do as much as possible all at once, ne.

So I phoned A.M. Audio and asked a chic there about the JT-30 microphone and I couldnt get much sense I'm afraid. She talked some pretty techical stuff and something about a McDonald's drivethru and I was bamboozled so I said thanks and bye. Snippets of stuff I picked up was that they seem to cater for big entertainment venues and fast food outlets. So there you go Fritz, get a job at the drivethru and at quiet times you can whip out the bekvluitjie and give it a gooi. Maybe later on in the week I'll give A.M. Audio another call but not up to it on a Monday.

So, never got hold of anyone andnot serious because not palying too serious. But I stumbled across this:

I eventually got myself a Bottle 'o Blues mic http://www.geocities.com/bottle_o_blues/Product_mic.html and I'm playing it through a Laney Cub 8 (I had matta change the speaker so its not 100% stock, but I believe the stock one will work great as well).

I got the mic for $52 (including delivery).
