I'm new to e.guitar and considering purchasing Nova delay from ebay.com
My concern is that unlike the Boss DD-20, the Nova delay pedal does not have...pedals!!
So must the guitarist bend down every time to switch delay on or off?
Or risk damaging the pedal by trying to kick the small switch knob?

The footswitches on the Nova Delay are designed to be operated by your foot, and are far more solid and durable than the mini switches on the DD-20 or other Boss pedals, which are mostly small switches under a large pedal. These are the same kind of switches which have been used since stompboxes started appearing in the '60s (many of which are still working!). Check out my review of the Nova Delay in the upcoming December/January issue of Muse Magazine - it's a great pedal.

The Nova delay is way better that the DD-20 or the DL-4 IMHO. I've owned all of them and I've stuck with the Nova. Built extrememly solid and once you get th hang of it, it's pretty easy to operate. Also, don't be put of by the 12V power requirement, I run mine on a 9V supply and it works fine. Just make sure your power supply has a high enough Amp rating (Preferably more than what is required by all your pedals). All my pedals use a total of +- 800 ma and my power supply is rated at 1700ma. I've tested them with a 2800 ma power supply and my delays sounded even better than with my 1700ma power supply.

I've ordered mine and I can't wait to get it. I've researched a few delay pedals and the Nova delay came out tops for me. Most of the reviews were full of praise for the durability and reliability of the ND.

To be honest, I still think the Lexicon is the better unit for the true delay geek like myself, but it's more expensive, larger and a bit more complex to operate.

Will let you guys know how it goes.

I've had one in the past and really, you could jump on them. Extremely good delay pedal. But if you dont really need a memory bank, i'd recommend you to look for the TC nova repeater, which is exactly the same pedal without the memory bank, and its alot cheaper.
