Got the idea from the embarrassing music in your collection thread!
Mine was Divine Madness by Madness - still have it in my collection and I still listen to it.
So what was yours? Can also be LP's I suppose! And do you still play it?

WHen I started buying there were no CDs. This was after the rinderpest but not by a lot.
So the first LP I bought was "After The Flood" - Bob Dylan and The Band.
Haven't listened to that for years. Don't think I own a copy of it right now.

I'd rather not go back as far as ''my first LP'' and ''first seven single'', thank you! :-[
But my first CD was The Best of the Doobie Brothers.
I soon had a small collection - which subsequently got stolen (people still broke into your home back then to steal only your CD player and CDs...) The first disk I replaced, was Pearl Jam's Vs. Still got it - these days I play it to my kids.

"Conniff Meets Butterfield." 1959.
I was a keen trumpeter back then and Billy Butterfield could blow a mean horn. No, I don’t have it in my collection.

I can't remember 100%, but it was either Green Day's Insomniac, or The Offspring's Ixnay On The Hombrè.
However, the first ever CD I got was a birthday present from my brother, The Signs Were All There by a band called Blameless. Such a good album, I wonder what ever happened to the band...
