That thing sounds great man!

Sounds very good. Nice demo, I like the fact that you give all the specifications used when compiling the demo, that puts into much better perspective. Can't wait to hear one of the hollow body Tokais. ?

Great sound - I'm becoming more and more interested in Tokai. Afraid to go and try one, because I really can't afford to buy another guitar right now.

Mmmm....yep, ducked in here about 4 times today......trying very hard to avoid thinking too much about this guitar now, you know, Xmas presents for the kids.....etc.etc etc.
Pete, I'm with you there.....but somehow it is screaming for a place in my collection.........wow.....
Nice PJH....... ?

Your talents amaze me...what an excellent piece of work this is.
Glad to see and hear you're enjoying the guitar so much, it sure looks and sounds fantastic.
Thanks for posting this demo.

Hey, thanks everyone for your kind comments. I really enjoyed putting the video together.
I want to do a couple of other videos which hopefully will show the different styles that this guitar is capable of.
I just cannot say enough about this guitar. I have two Gibsons (one a Sunburst Std and the other a Studio) and this Tokai holds its own against both of them. In fact I hated the pick ups in the Studio so I replaced them with a set of Tokai pick ups from another Love Rock. I bought them from a guy who replaced them in his Tokai without even trying them.
My Studio now sounds incredible.
I'll keep you all posted,
Cheers,
Peter.

Hey Peter
This was incredible. Excellent playing and video.
Changed my outlook on the Les Paul shape, These guitars look incredible.
What is the price range?
PJH
Hi Squonk,
Thank you for listening and watching. I appreciate your comments.
Regarding price range I think you should ask TokaiSA and he'll be able to assist. I can say this though, I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised.
Cheers,
Peter.

Hi Peter.
thanks for the great demo. i was in two minds before a bought my Gibson, Tokai had not landaed in Sa yet, but Seeing the goldtop makes me think i could have waited a wee bit more, and they came in at 2grand less than the gibson.
here is a blues demo with a sunburst Tokai.

Only 2grand less?...you sure, not 10grand? ?

That is an excellent demo. Very well put together. I think you need to contact Tokai and offer to do some advertising for them. ?
Good playing too.

That's Stuarts personal guitar, an LS95 Flamed Maple in Violin Finish (Honeyburst)...he's completely in love with it.?
The R 15,000 was full retail before discount...
The Manager, Gordon, owns the identical guitar used in this demo, an LS85 Gold Top.
Top class eve's dropping, Keira. ?

Quick question about the Tokai finishes - I see they list them as "lacquer", but lacquer is a pretty generic term, describing any shellac, nitro, acrylic or even waterbourne finish. So what do they actually use and does it vary across the different series' of Tokais?
MikeM
Alan I was ebaying earlier and I definately saw some models with nitro. Not sure which though :-[ Obviously Mr Tokai will know for definate ?
